Beyond Marley: Reggae 102

Linton Kwesi Johnson

On a previous post i mentioned how much i'm into reggae at the moment and i promised to do a future post on reggae again. Well here it is. Most people associate reggae with Bob Marley, as they should since he was the one who put it on the map for the rest of the world, but he was not and is not the only reggae artist. But instead of focusing on past reggae artist i thought it would be appropriate to do a post on current ones. Here's a list of of reggae-ish artist or people who just intergrate reggae beats into their music.

Downloads:
Tanya Stephens - Google, It's a Pity, Boom Wuk
Major Lazer- Cash Flow & Can't Stop Me Now
Robyn- None of Dem & Dancehall Queen
Nas & Damian Marley (sorry couldn't help not putting a Marley) - Distant Relatives
Vybz Cartel - Clarks
Annette Brissett - Place For Me
Buju Bunton - Champion

P.S : i know my post have been real boring at the moment just posting songs to download and what not but i've been real busy with school and work but i PROMISE that once i get more time that i'll make them more interactive and creative so bare with me! =]
Edit--------

Nothing to do with reggae but M.I.A is on the cover of Complex Mag. Jun/Jul Issue thought i should share.
